About ShowMRR

ShowMRR is a public directory of startups and their monthly recurring revenue, with a leaderboard and tools for founders. Every figure is labelled with where it came from, so a reader can tell a number we read from a payment provider apart from a number someone typed in.

Who runs ShowMRR?

ShowMRR is operated by the same people who operate Bugsly and AISend. Our own products are also listed on ShowMRR, at $0 or “not reported”.

What are the two kinds of figures?

• Verified means ShowMRR itself read the number from a connected payment provider (Stripe, Polar or LemonSqueezy) and the last successful sync was less than 72 hours ago. Syncs run about hourly. A connection that stops working loses the badge.
• Self-reported means a person typed it in, or ShowMRRBot read it from a public page the founder publishes themselves. It is labelled with the date. We have not checked it against any payment provider.

Unclaimed listings and ShowMRRBot

Some listings are created by ShowMRR from a number the company publishes itself. These show as Unclaimed listing and the figure is Self-reported. ShowMRRBot is the program that reads those numbers. Its user agent is:

What ShowMRRBot does

• Once a day, it reads one number from a public page that the company itself publishes, such as an “open startup” or transparency page.
• It checks that site’s robots.txt first.
• It stores the number, the address of the page and the date it read it.

What ShowMRRBot does not do

• It reads one number per site, from a page the company publishes itself, not from a payment provider.
• It does not make the figure Verified. A bot-read number stays Self-reported.

How do I claim or remove a listing?

• Claim it: publish a token file on your site to show you control it, and connect the payment provider that bills the product. Once claimed you can edit or remove the listing.
• Change or remove it: email support@showmrr.com and we will do it.
• Stop the bot: disallow ShowMRRBot in your robots.txt.

What we do not do

• We do not audit businesses. Verified figures are only as good as the provider’s data and our reading of it.
• We do not store customer data. For a connected provider we keep totals (MRR, customer count, daily history) and the key, encrypted; not customer names, emails or individual payments. See the Privacy Policy.
• We do not give financial, investment, tax or legal advice.
• We do not sell leaderboard position or Verified status.
