These terms apply when you use ShowMRR (showmrr.com). By creating an account or using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use ShowMRR. Questions: support@showmrr.com.

1. What ShowMRR is

ShowMRR is a public directory of startups and their revenue, with a leaderboard, a marketplace where founders can list a startup for sale, and tools for founders. We are a directory and an introduction service. We are not a broker, a bank, an escrow agent or an adviser.

2. Accounts

You need an account to add a startup, connect revenue or list something for sale. Give us accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think your account was used by someone else. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

3. Two kinds of revenue figures

Every figure on ShowMRR is labelled with where it came from:

• Verified means ShowMRR read the figure from a payment provider (Stripe, Lemon Squeezy or Polar) that the founder connected, and the last successful read was recent. A connection that stops working loses the label.
• Self-reported means a person typed it in, or ShowMRR read it from a public page the founder publishes themselves (for example an open-startup page). We show the date it was last read or edited. We have not checked it against any payment provider.

We do not audit businesses. Verified figures are only as good as the provider's data and our reading of it, and self-reported figures can be wrong or out of date. Nothing on ShowMRR is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Do your own checks before relying on a number, especially before buying a business.

4. Listings and claiming

Some listings are created by us from public information about a product, such as its name, website and a revenue figure its founder publishes. These are shown as unclaimed. If you run the product you can claim it by showing control of its website and connecting the payment provider that bills it. Once claimed, you can edit or remove the listing. If you are the owner of a product and want an unclaimed listing changed or removed, email us and we will do it.

5. Connecting a payment provider

When you connect a provider you give ShowMRR an API key and confirm you are allowed to. We use it to read revenue totals, such as monthly recurring revenue and the number of customers, and nothing else. Please use a read-only or restricted key where the provider offers one (for Stripe we only accept restricted keys). You can disconnect at any time, and deleting the key at the provider stops our access immediately.

6. What you submit

You keep ownership of what you submit (profiles, descriptions, listings). You give us permission to display it on ShowMRR and in search results and previews of ShowMRR. Don't submit anything false, misleading or unlawful, don't claim a startup you don't run, and don't invent or inflate revenue figures.

7. Marketplace

The marketplace lets founders list a startup for sale and lets people send an inquiry. Any deal is between the seller and the buyer. ShowMRR is not a party to it, does not verify what either side says beyond the revenue labels described above, does not hold anyone's money and does not provide escrow. You are responsible for your own due diligence and for getting professional advice.

Document templates we provide (such as a letter of intent or an asset purchase agreement) are starting points, not legal advice, and may not suit your situation.

8. Paid plans

Some features need a paid plan. Prices are shown on the pricing page. Plans are billed monthly through Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider, and you can cancel at any time; if you can't, write to us. Paid plans are billed as soon as you purchase.

9. Acceptable use

• Don't scrape, copy or load ShowMRR at a scale or speed that affects other people's use of it.
• Don't try to get into accounts, data or systems that aren't yours, and don't probe for weaknesses. If you find a security problem, please tell us at support@showmrr.com.
• Don't use ShowMRR to harass people, to impersonate someone, or to spam.

10. The service as it is

ShowMRR is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running and accurate but don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or remove features. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or decisions you make based on figures shown on ShowMRR, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

11. Ending your account

You can stop using ShowMRR whenever you like, and you can ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other people at risk, and remove listings that are false or misleading.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant we will tell account holders by email or on the site. Using ShowMRR after a change means you accept it.
