How ShowMRR labels revenue
Short answer: a figure is verified only while ShowMRR itself reads it from a payment provider that the founder connected and the last successful read was less than 72 hours ago. Every other figure is self-reported and says so, with a date. No listing is provider-verified yet: no founder has connected a payment provider that is currently syncing.
Counts below are computed live from the database when this page is requested (Oct 31, 2026). Test accounts are excluded.
Where the listings stand today
| Public listings | 17 |
| Verified from a connected provider (synced in the last 72 hours) | 0 |
| Self-reported: read from the company's own public page | 3 |
| Self-reported: typed in by the person who listed it | 0 |
| No revenue figure reported ($0 or "not reported") | 14 |
ShowMRR's maker lists their own products here too (the Ship & Tell category), at the numbers they report. ShowMRR does not rank paid placement: the leaderboard is ordered by the MRR figure shown, verified or not, and each row carries its label.
When is a figure "verified"?
- The listing has at least one active connection to Stripe, Polar or LemonSqueezy.
- Every active connection has synced successfully.
- Every active connection's last successful sync is under 72 hours old.
Syncs run about hourly. The label is recomputed on every read from the connection itself, not stored, so a revoked or broken key loses it within 72 hours. A founder cannot type "verified".
How is MRR computed from a provider?
- Only active subscriptions count, in live mode (test-mode data is ignored).
- Each subscription's price is converted to a monthly amount (a yearly price is divided by 12, a weekly one multiplied by 52/12), after the discounts and coupons that apply to it.
- Usage-based (metered) prices are left out, because the price alone does not say what a customer pays this month.
- Customers are counted as distinct paying customers with an active subscription.
- Several connections are added together only when they bill in the same currency. ShowMRR stores no exchange rates, so mixed currencies are refused rather than guessed.
- One-off payments, refunds and taxes are not part of MRR.
Stripe is read only with a live-mode restricted key (secret keys are rejected). How to create one: How to share your revenue publicly.
What does "self-reported" cover?
Either a person typed the number in, or ShowMRRBot read it once a day from a page the company itself publishes. Neither has been checked against a payment provider, and ShowMRR does not audit businesses. These listings are read from a public page today:
| Listing | Page it is read from | What that page calls it | Last read |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ghost | ghost.org | monthly revenue (their wording; shown as MRR-equivalent) | Oct 31, 2026 |
| Mataroa | mataroa.blog | monthly revenue (their wording; shown as MRR-equivalent) | Oct 31, 2026 |
| Simple Analytics | dashboard.simpleanalytics.com | MRR | Oct 31, 2026 |
The bot checks each site's robots.txt first and keeps the last good value; a figure it could not re-read for 30 days is withdrawn. Details and how to have a listing changed or removed: About ShowMRRBot.
What ShowMRR does not store
Your provider key is stored encrypted. ShowMRR keeps totals (MRR, customer count, a daily history), not customer names, emails or individual payments. See the privacy policy.
